The student council at Caroline L. Reutter School recently organized a special event to express gratitude to our local veterans and first responders for their dedicated service to our county and community. The Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Breakfast, held on April 24, was a heartwarming opportunity for students to show their appreciation and support for these heroes.
Members of the student council took on the roles of hosts for the event, serving breakfast and engaging in meaningful conversations with the veterans and first responders in attendance. The exchange of stories and experiences allowed students to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the sacrifices made by these brave individuals.
The event also featured performances by the Reutter School band and chorus, who expressed their gratitude through two moving song selections. In addition, student council members recited patriotic poems, further demonstrating their respect and admiration for the guests of honor.
"We are incredibly proud of our veterans and first responders, and we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all that they do to keep our country and community safe," said Mr. Theodore Peters, Principal of Caroline L. Reutter School. "The Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Breakfast was a small gesture of our immense gratitude and respect for their service."
